Industria

Industria is a currently-unreleased Valkyrien Skies addon focusing on a custom electricity and machine system. While it isn’t yet on Curseforge or Modrinth, you can compile it from source on the Github. It is also being built with a custom library, “Industria Core,” to abstract its API. “Industria Core” also relies on a custom library written in C, which is included in the jar. (Note that it may not support all operating systems at this time).

Blocks

• The portable fluid generator can produce electricity by consuming liquid fuels (e.g. lava)

• The portable solid fuel generator can produce electricity from solid fuel sources (e.g. coal)

• The junction box provides a way to connect multiple cables or wires. It’s exact link-up between sides/wires can be configured using a wrench

• The flood light, when powered with electricity, provides a large range of light.

• The Ferrite coil core, once placed down, can have wire reels attached to it to turn it into an electromagnet. The more coils of wire attached, the stronger the magnet affect when powered. Only one of the coils inputs need to be powered. It’s planned that later, the two inputs will allow a “transformer” setup between two tiers of wire.

• The wire support (available in all tiers of wire) can be used to link up to 8 wires or cables together. They aren’t configurable in connectivity, unlike junction boxes

Items

Note: currently all wire tires function the same, but in the future they will have different properties.

• Wires can be used to transport electricity. They can travel longer distances than cables, but have no insulation and you need one wire per polarity. (A + wire and a - wire)

• Cables are a combination of 8 wires. They can’t travel very far, only about 1.5 blocks, but are insulated and handle polarity for you.

• Wire reels can be shift-right-clicked to be placed as a block for cosmetic purposes, or used as longer wires. They also serve to transform a Ferrite coil core into an electromagnet.

• Cable reels can be shift-right-clicked to be placed as a block for cosmetic purposes, or used as longer cables. They also serve to transform a Ferrite coil core into an electromagnet.

• The wrench can be used on most electrical blocks to configure their internal wiring. This allows you a lot of customisation over what wire channels on what block sides are connected.
