Valkyrien Skies

Ship is invisible

You have Optifine or an unpatched version of Immersive Portals or Nvidium installed. See the Compatibility list.

Ship is only partly visible; block faces are missing

Turn off block face culling in your Sodium or Embeddium settings. You may need to install Embeddium++.

Block Entities lack parts or are invisible

Disable “use max block entity culling distance” in Embeddium or Sodium. For Embeddium, you will need Embeddium++ to access this setting.

Ship gets stuck at the build limit or ship hitbox is larger than the ship

Turn up LOD in the Valkyrien Skies Config.

Compatibility

Some mods are incompatible with VS2. Check the Compatibility List for further details.

Clockwork

Inventory

If your game crashes when you open the clockwork inventory or give yourself a clockwork item, you are missing Architectury API. See the dependencies section of the Clockwork page.

Wings

If your wings are glitched (causing excessive yeeting or not doing anything), make sure you are using Valkyrien Skies beta.10.

Command Chair

The command chair setttings are reset every time the GUI is opened, this occurs on all versions.

Version Mismatch

Clockwork is not compatible with the newest versions of VS2 or Create. Ensure that you are using VS2 beta.10 and Create 0.5.1j.

Eureka

Config

On the fabric version of eureka, config changes may not take effect. This seems to be fabric specific.

Common Exit Codes and Messages

Exit Code -1

This code usually indicates incompatible or missing mods. Check that you have all the required dependencies and consult the Compatibility List.

Exit Code -2

This code reflects an issue with your Minecraft or Java installation, not directly caused by Valkyrien Skies.

Exit Code -805306369

This code indicates that the client ran out of memory. It can be resolved by allocating more memory, but make sure to leave some non-allocated.

What to do if you can’t find a fix

Make sure your are using the latest VS2 version. For 1.20.1 that is VS2.3 beta.12 (beta.10 if using Create 0.5.1j); for 1.19.2 that is VS2.1.2 Beta 2; for 1.18.2 that is v2.1.1-beta.5; and for 1.16.5 it is v2.0.0-alpha6. If you still have a issue after this, ask for help on the discord or the github.
